Disgrifiad: The Launch of the BASC Wildlife Fund in Wales. - The practical persons conservation fund - protects natural habitats for generations to come This celebrates BASCs practical conservation work. Shooters are the original conservationists, actively managing populations and the land to provide healthy habitats and to allow for the sustainable take of wild animals and the nutritious wild food they provide. The BASC Wildlife Fund is dedicated to funding projects that create and protect our natural habitats; where wildfowl, game, and animal and plant species of all kinds can flourish. The loss and degradation of natural habitats is a hugely complex problem that threatens our future, not only jeopardising the survival of individual species but compromising the ability of entire ecosystems to support life. From the grassy meadows that are vital to pollinating insects, to the peat bogs that prevent carbon from entering the atmosphere. From the woodlands that offer incredible biodiversity, to the wetlands that provide life-support for migratory wildfowl; the importance of our natural habitats, and the role of sustainable shooting in creating and preserving them, cannot be overstated. Its up to all of us to take action, and particularly those of us committed to sustainable shooting. We believe we have a duty not only to protect the species we shoot and those that we dont. It is our aim to leave a positive legacy for the future.

Agored i’r cyhoedd: The event will take place outside our normal opening hours therefore attendance will be by invitation only.
